When I was in my 12th class, I heard a lot about a temple where the King of Jhansi, Gangadhar Rao, got married to Manikarnika, who was later on called "Jhansi ki Rani".
     The fort has a great Marathi influence. Even today, festivals like Gudi Padwa and Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated with traditional Maratha zeal, adding vibrant color to the historic air.
